AJ Brown will wear #11 for the Eagles – Philly Sports

It’s official. The former Tennessee Titan will bring his No. 11 jersey number to Philadelphia with him.

The Eagles gave up the 18th overall pick and 101st pick for the All-Pro wide receiver. Brown was entering the final year of his contract, so it took a long time at the front office to secure a contract extension. When that failed, Howie stepped in and handed AJ Brown a 4-year extension worth $100 million, $57 million guaranteed.

Brown will take No. 11 from Zach Pascal, who recorded an astonishing 0 rec, 0 yards and 0 td while wearing the number, ranking as PFF’s 0 rated receiver with a 0 rating.

Pascal will now wear number 3, having given up number 11 to Brown as a sign of goodwill. What a healthy boy. Pascal wore No. 14 at Indianapolis, while his quarterback, Carson Wentz wore No. 11.

Brown becomes the first player released from the Eagles since Josh Huff to wear the number, and the first player since Carson Wentz. To say that number has faded in the last 10 years would be fair, but Brown is the perfect player to reignite that fire.
